Terms and conditions

Please, familiarize yourself with our terms and conditions. They are straightforward and we adhere to them.

What is your attendance and cancellation policy?

Sorry, but we must have an attendance and cancellation policy; we know you understand…

Attendees must be a current employee of a county, local municipal, state, tribal, or federal law enforcement agency. Outside attendees may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us at support@joppatraining.com if you’d like to be considered.

Student substitutions are acceptable and encouraged as opposed to a cancellation. If a substitution is needed, please contact us at support@joppatraining.com or (866)-855-6772. We ask that if a student must cancel, you help us fill the seat by finding or sending someone else from your agency.

To be eligible for a refund, cancellation must be made prior to 16 calendar days before the first day of class.

Cancellations within 15 calendar days of class are responsible for full payment. Tuition can be applied to an upcoming class.

No shows on the day of class will be charged and are responsible for full tuition.

How to set up your PDS account.

Individual student accounts are mandatory to attend classes. Student accounts are how we communicate with each student and also how certificates are awarded. Students will be prompted to create an account upon course registration.

Agency Training Manager accounts are also strongly encouraged as they will help each training manager coordinate their students and classes.

Student accounts have full access to all training certificates for all PDS courses taken. No more paper certificates unless you wish to print the high resolution digital certificate. Digital certificates may be downloaded and emailed to your agency training manager. No more searching for your training certificates. They will all always be there in your PDS account.

Student Responsibilities

Students are responsible for obtaining permission and approval from their departments prior to registration if the student plans to attend on-duty and have the agency pay for it. You know the rules.

If you want to attend, we recommend working with your agency prior to registering for a class. Because if you register for a class, and your department does not approve your time or tuition for any reason, you are still responsible for the terms of the attendance and cancellation policy including any applicable tuition. Again, we know you get it.

Our courses start on time. As such, we expect you to be on time and ready to go. Plan accordingly for travel and parking, etc. Coffee and snacks will be provided, so if you want some, show up a little early to grab some and then be in your seat on time and ready to go.

We understand that life and work responsibilities happen, so please contact us prior to the start of class, or your instructor once class starts, in a timely fashion should the need arise.

The most important responsibilities are to come with an open mind, enjoy the process, and be better the week after class than the week before. Our profession and what you do is worth it!

Thank you for what you do. We believe in our profession, and we believe in you. Stay safe & well.
